Job summary

Amazing Care is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team serving the Ogden area. The role involves delivering home health speech therapy across pediatric and adult clients, and coordinating with physicians to ensure safe, effective care.

Mileage is provided for patient visits. Requirements include a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, Utah licensure, ASHA certification or PRAXIS/externship documentation, active BLS, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP).
  • ASHA Certification or passing PRAXIS with CF/Externship.
  • SLP license in the state of Utah.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Speech Language Pathology is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides evaluations and interprets assessment results, develops and implements speech-language treatment plans.
  • Assists pediatric and adult clients to develop or regain cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and social/emotional functioning.
  • Coordinates care with referring physician and other health care organizations to ensure safe, effective care.
  • Instructs client, family/caregiver, and other health care personnel in the treatment plan.
  • Identifies client and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate.
  • Prepares and submits documentation per organization policy.
  • Maintains clinical competency in the theory and practice of speech-language pathology.

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Ogden area. A speech-language pathologist (SLP) will implement treatment plans to assist clients of all ages with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional functioning by developing and administering speech therapy services in the home and community settings.

  • Provides compassionate and high-quality care that meets the needs of the client and family by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results, developing a plan of care including skilled interventions and goals appropriate to the client's needs, and creating and implementing speech and language treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
  • Assists pediatric and adult patients to develop or regain cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional functioning and improves their level of independence and quality of life.
  • Coordinates care with referring physician and other health care organizations and personnel to ensure safe, appropriate, and effective care for the client.
  • Instructs client, family/caregiver, and other organization health care personnel in the client's treatment plan as indicated.
  • Identifies client and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate.
  • Prepares and submits documentation per organization policy.
  • Maintains clinical competency in the theory and practice of speech-language pathology.

Mileage provided for commuting between patient visits

Schedule

Part-Time Days ,10-20 visits per week

  • A master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP)
  • ASHA Certification or documentation of passing PRAXIS exam and completion of a Clinical Fellow/Externship
  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Utah
  • Active BLS certification
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • A minimum of 1-year clinical experience in Speech Language Pathology is preferred, but not required
