Job summary

Connecthomehealth is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Feeding Specialist in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will conduct assessments and provide in-home therapy, collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate must have an active Speech Therapy license in Texas and preferably some pediatric experience. Join us in providing comprehensive care to medically fragile children in a supportive and flexible environment.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid and active Speech Therapy license in Texas.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification is required.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations using standardized tests for therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans according to physician's orders.
  • Provide in-home therapy services for pediatric patients.
  • Regularly communicate treatment goals with patients' families.
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain documentation reflecting patient care.

As a part of our team, you will play a vital role in collaboratively ensuring that pediatric patients receive comprehensive and well-coordinated care in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive evaluations, using standardized tests to determine pediatric patients' needs for therapy.

Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physician's orders.

Provide in-home therapy services for pediatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses.

Engage with patients' families, providing them with regular communication and updates on goals for their child.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapy disciplines, physicians, and nurses, to develop holistic treatment plans that address the diverse needs of each patient.

Maintain comprehensive documentation that reflects the care provided and communicates changes in treatment plans to the entire healthcare team.

Actively participate in one-on-one meetings with team leads to discuss patient progress, share insights, and refine treatment strategies collaboratively.
