Responsibilities

• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech/language skills.
• Designs the plan of care including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective, objective, assessment findings and plan, and patient progress.
• Educates and counsels patients and family/caregiver.
• Plans and/or assists with discharge from therapy services and setting.
• Provides information on selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
• Some employees may operate a motor vehicle for MaineGeneral Health business.
