Job summary

The Charity League Hearing and Speech Center at Children’s of Alabama seeks a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative speech-language and audiology services within a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on pediatric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The position is full-time with a day shift (M-F, 7:30am–4:00pm) and occasional on-call holidays or weekends. Masters in SLP, licensure, and ASHA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of pediatric audiology and/or speech pathology
• Ability to administer and interpret developmentally appropriate comprehensive evaluations and communicate impressions and recommendations to referral sources and families
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate with patients, caregivers, and referral sources
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care services
• conducts in-service trainings
• serves as consultant to medical staff, ancillary staff, and the community
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with potential on-call holidays and weekends
