Job summary

Children’s of Alabama’s Charity League Hearing and Speech Center seeks a licensed audiologist to provide direct and indirect patient care for pediatric populations. The role includes in-service trainings and consulting with medical and ancillary staff, Monday through Friday with potential on-call holidays and weekends.

Required credentials include a Master’s degree in Audiology and licensure/certification as an Audiologist, with at least one year of staff-level experience in audiology-speech.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of pediatric audiology and/or speech pathology.
• Ability to administer and interpret developmentally appropriate comprehensive evaluations and communicate impressions and recommendations to referral sources and families.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate with patients, caregivers, and referral sources.
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care services, conducts in-service trainings, serves as consultant to medical staff, ancillary staff, and the community Monday through Friday with the potential for on-call holidays and weekends.
