Position Details

Title: Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)

Location: Hampton, VA

Setting: Clinic Based

Hours: Flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week

Part-time employees are required to work afternoon hours (3 pm - 6 pm) at least 1 to 2 days per week.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer two flexible and competitive compensation options:

  • Pay-Per-Visit: Allows you to create your own schedule, with the opportunity to see additional patients to boost income.
  • Hybrid Salary: Provides a consistent base salary for a typical 40-hour week, plus additional pay for extra clients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s speech and language skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct therapy services to children in a clinical setting.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to support communication development.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate families and caregivers on techniques to support language development at home.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program (required).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric therapy experience.
  • Current Virginia state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable commute to Hampton clinic required.
