Job summary

Small Talk Pediatric Therapy in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our pediatric therapy team.

You will evaluate and treat children with communication needs, partnering with parents and other team members to provide engaging, play-based therapy.

This role emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, timely documentation and a welcoming, family-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• Current Idaho Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain Idaho licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA, or eligibility based on the clinic’s ability to support a Clinical Fellowship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with children, parents, caregivers and team members.
• Strong clinical judgment, organization and time‑management skills.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and within required timelines.
• Commitment to individualized, ethical and evidence‑based pediatric care.
• Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric clients.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on each child’s strengths, needs and family goals.
• Provide evidence-based treatment for speech, language and communication needs.
• Support children in areas such as receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonological development, social communication, fluency and functional communication.
• Incorporate play, books, toys, movement and everyday routines into treatment sessions.
• Educate parents and caregivers on practical strategies they can use at home.
• Maintain timely, accurate and compliant documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes and progress reports.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
• Communicate progress, recommendations and changes in treatment clearly and compassionately with families.
• Participate in team meetings, continuing education and clinic initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, organized and welcoming therapy environment.
• Follow all clinic policies, professional standards and patient privacy requirements.
• Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on high‑quality, family‑centered care.

Role Description

Small Talk Pediatric Therapy is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing pediatric therapy team.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate and treat children with a variety of communication needs while partnering closely with parents, caregivers and other members of the child’s care team.
