Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a pediatric social worker to provide short term therapy within a primary care clinic. The role requires collaborating with pediatricians to address psychosocial and mental health needs in children aged 5-11, including CBT-informed interventions, and coordinating care with families and other professionals.

You will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate timely access to services across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work required.
• LCSW or LICSW state license required.
• Experience in medical settings preferred.
• Knowledge of CBT and psychosocial assessment techniques.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
• Forms biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans.
• Collaborates with the medical team to evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Monitors and records progress toward goals in care plans.
• Provides short-term, evidence-based psychotherapy to pediatric patients.
• Screens and develops comprehensive assessments for BH treatment.
• Offers crisis intervention and care coordination as needed.
• Advocates for school-related needs in behavioral health contexts.
• Participates in case reviews and interdepartmental meetings.
• Works with primary care staff to ensure timely, appropriate care.
