Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Regular Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary care teams. You will perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and support patients and families through illness, hospitalization, and discharge planning.

Qualified applicants hold a Master’s degree in social work and GA LCSW eligibility with 3 years of postgraduate experience. This is an onsite role at our Atlanta campus emphasizing patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in GA or eligible to obtain GA LCSW within 90 days of employment.
• Three years of experience in postgraduate social work.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify strengths and barriers across the care continuum.
• Assists patients and families in coping with illness, trauma, hospitalization, and end-of-life issues.
• Facilitates discharge planning and coordination of ongoing medical care.
• Assists families in accessing resources to achieve stabilization and self-sufficiency.
• Ensures safety concerns are assessed and reported to appropriate authorities as needed.
