Job summary

DV Therapy Learning Center in Covina, CA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support an SLP-CCC in delivering evidence-based care to children and families.

You will conduct screenings, document progress, prepare assessment materials, implement home programs, manage equipment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. This role requires an active SLPA license in California and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active SLPA license in California.
• Experience in speech-language pathology or related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Technologically proficient with relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct treatment to children and families under the supervision of an SLP‑CCC.
• Conduct speech-language screenings using age-appropriate protocols.
• Document client progress through SOAP notes and progress reports.
• Assist the supervising SLP during assessments and prepare materials.
• Implement and adjust home programs based on SLP guidance.
• Monitor and maintain speech therapy equipment, including AAC devices.
• Act as an interpreter for non-English-speaking families when competent.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, and other professionals for holistic client care.
• Render/cancel appointments through CentralReach.
• Schedule client sessions and maintain organized charts and records.
• Support research projects, in-service training, and community education initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on client progress.
