Job summary

DV Therapy Learning Center in Bakersfield seeks a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to manage a pediatric caseload under a licensed SLP (CCC-SLP). You’ll conduct sessions, collect data, and adapt plans with ongoing documentation, keeping a stable caseload across months.

You’ll work with OTs, COTAs, BTs, and BCBAs to resolve feeding or AAC questions in real time. For SLPA students, this role provides real treatment experience across articulation, language, fluency and AAC, with a

Qualifications

• Active California SLPA license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Annual TB skin test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct treatment to children under licensed SLP supervision.
• Perform speech and language screenings using age-appropriate protocols.
• Document progress in SOAP notes and progress reports.
• Assist with assessments and prepare materials ahead of time.
• Carry out home programs and adjust them as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain therapy equipment and AAC devices.
• Coordinate with OTs, COTAs, BTs, and BCBAs on care.
• Render and cancel appointments in CentralReach.
• Schedule sessions and keep charts current.
• Contribute to research, trainings, and community education.
• Bring client updates to team meetings.
• Bilingual (Spanish) — an asset for families and sessions.
