Job summary

Stepping Stones Therapy, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide therapy to children and adolescents under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

You will implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with families and team members in clinic and/or school-based settings, depending on assignment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and compliance with privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant educational or training program.
• Current California SLPA registration/license in good standing, as required for the position.
• Knowledge of speech, language, communication, and child development.
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
• Experience with pediatric, school-based, and/or neurodivergent populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group speech and language therapy under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement treatment plans and goals established by the supervising SLP.
• Provide intervention targeting articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic/social communication, fluency, and other needs within the SLPA scope.
• Prepare therapy materials and activities based on client goals.
• Collect data during sessions and monitor progress toward goals.
• Complete treatment notes and documentation within timelines.
• Communicate observations and progress to the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, therapists, administrators, and staff.
