Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Casual Speech-Language Pathologist to provide inpatient coverage in our pediatric programs. Responsibilities include evaluation, therapy, and documentation for ages birth to 17, with weekend coverage as needed.

The role supports a busy therapy team and involves collaboration with physicians, nurses, and families. A Master's in SLP with CCC-SLP and DE licensure are required; BLS within 6 months is also expected.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Three to six months experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Delaware state SLP license required; compact licensure acceptable for primary licensure.
• ASHA CCC-SLP required upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatrics experience preferred; affiliation with pediatric feeding/swallowing is a plus.
• Membership in professional organizations (ASHA, state SLP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients birth to 17 years.
• Perform evaluations, therapy, documentation, and caregiver education.
• Coordinate with medical staff and outside agencies as appropriate.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and participate in team discussions.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance referral/authorization processes.
• Complete mandatory training and participate in weekend/holiday coverage as needed.
