Job summary

The UVM Medical Center, in partnership with the Vermont Early Hearing Detection & Intervention Program (VTEHDI), seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct care to children in educational settings. This on-site role welcomes applicants residing in Orleans County or nearby communities.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating communication, cognition and swallowing, collaborating with families, case managers and providers, and supporting a cooperative team model of care.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • CCC-SLP certification from ASHA, or current eligibility to obtain this certification, is required.
  • Experience with children in home, school or medical settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and treatment in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing.
  • Teaching and working closely with families, case managers and providers for continued care after evaluation.
  • Demonstrating dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of care.
  • Working within a cooperative team model of care
  • Supporting other SLPs by sharing caseloads and assisting colleagues as the need arises.
  • AAC experience preferred
