Job summary

Cortica is a rapidly growing healthcare company specializing in services for children with neurodevelopmental differences. We are seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in California.

The role involves delivering direct patient care, collaborating with a diverse team, and creating individualized treatment plans. The successful candidate will be licensed in California, possess strong clinical skills, and demonstrate a passion for working with children.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an SLP in California.
• Excellent clinical skills.
• Desire to work in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
• Flexible and open to learning.
• Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
• Passion for working with children.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, or crawling as needed.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Establish speech and language treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessments.
• Consult with multidisciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy sessions and group/co-treats where appropriate.
• Maintain patient records and billing in compliance with regulations and company policy.
• Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to develop language skills, considering sensory processing and motor differences.
• Deliver functional and stimulating experiences to target individualized goals.
• Develop strategies to engage in communication across settings.
• Collaborate with families to understand their values, interests, and goals.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
• Deliver at least 22.75 hours of direct patient care per week.
