Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for clinic-based work with part-time and full-time caseloads in Fairfax, VA.

The role involves developmental screening/assessment and delivering speech therapy services, with family education and collaboration. A Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and VA state licensure are required; 1–2 years of pediatric experience preferred, with training for new graduates. Sign-on bonuses apply.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• VA state license to practice Speech Therapy.
• 1–2 years of experience with children birth–21 preferred; training for new graduates.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
• Work is performed in clinic-based settings.
• Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed.
• Participate in monthly agency staff meeting.
• Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews.
• Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.
• Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.
