Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health in Lawton, Oklahoma, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat children with autism and other disabilities in an outpatient setting. The role includes creating treatment plans, multidisciplinary collaboration, and supervising SLP assistants.

Requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology with internship, Oklahoma licensure or eligibility, ASHA CCC-SLP, and experience with AAC/PECS/ASL.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience working with children and families.
  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication.
  • Experience with autism or intellectual disabilities.
  • Master's in Speech-Language Pathology with internship; licensing eligibility per state law.
  • Oklahoma State License or eligibility.
  • Training in feeding/oral and motor/swallowing.
  • Meets education requirements for ASHA CCC-SLP.
  • Familiar with PECS, AAC, ASL.
  • Excellent communication with providers and families.
  • Full-time availability - 40 hours/week.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient with technology; MS Word; EMR.
  • Passionate about helping children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat a wide range of speech and language disorders.
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Serve as a team member for multidisciplinary evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat disorders related to feeding/oral and motor/swallowing issues.
  • Provide family education and training to assist in transfer of skills.
  • Supervise SLP assistants as needed.
  • Work in an outpatient, private-practice setting.
  • Maintain client records and confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
