Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver pediatric speech therapy to children ages 2–6 within an interdisciplinary early intervention model. The role uses the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to support natural communication development and AAC strategies when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required, unless applying for a Clinical Fellowship position.
• Current license to practice speech language pathology.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• AAC experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Interest in interdisciplinary pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver developmentally appropriate speech therapy for children ages 2–6 in an early intervention setting.
• Develop and implement communication interventions, including AAC strategies and devices when appropriate.
• Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and coordinate treatment plans with OTs, BCBAs, psychologists, and other clinicians.
• Integrate communication goals into Soar’s ESDM-informed approach to early intervention.
• Partner with families to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies they can use outside of therapy.
• Collaborate with RBTs and other clinicians so communication goals are reinforced throughout each child’s day.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on data, clinical judgment, and each child’s evolving needs.
