Job summary

Children's Mercy Kansas City is seeking a Respiratory Therapist/Polysomnographic Technologist to provide high-quality sleep medicine and respiratory care for patients of all ages, under direct supervision of the Medical Director and Sleep Center Director.

The role requires polysomnography expertise, certifications (RPSGT, CRT or RRT), and ongoing professional development; on-site work in Kansas City with comprehensive benefits and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher from an accredited CoARC program; pediatric care experience preferred.
• RPSGT certification required; CRT or RRT required upon hire.
• Missouri and Kansas Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within stated timelines.
• AHA BLS and PEARS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience; pediatric critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides Polysomnographic Study procedures.
• Self-management for professional growth.
• Participates in departmental and organizational quality/performance assurance/improvement activities.
• Works as a team with all employees.
