Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks Security Officers to maintain a safe, child-centered environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. You will respond to emergencies, enforce Enterprise policies, and partner with clinical teams to support safe patient care.

This role requires a high school diploma, de-escalation skills, and the ability to work all shift times. You will screen individuals, patrol facilities, escort unauthorized persons, and document incidents while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Management or related field preferred.
• Experience in security, public safety or emergency services is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide a secure environment by screening at fixed posts and patrols.
• Enforce CHOP security and safety policies and procedures.
• Document security incidents with reports and logs.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and service requests.
• Escort unauthorized persons and verify business purpose for building access.
• Screen badges and ensure proper authorization for visitors and contractors.
• Support clinical teams during patient care when needed.
• Participate in fire safety, disaster drills and emergency preparedness events.
