Job summary

The School Registered Nurse Ambulatory provides health services to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth for students within the Lawrence Township School District. Located on the north side in Indianapolis, this role serves Skiles Test Elementary School, coordinating care and health education throughout the school day.

Ideal candidates hold an Indiana RN license, graduated from an accredited nursing program, and have two+ years of pediatric nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in Indiana is required.
• Two years of nursing experience, pediatric preferred.
• Graduation from an NLN/CCNE/ACEN/NLN-CNEA accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Strong teamwork, compassion, and self-direction are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide health services to support students' physical, mental, emotional and social growth.
• Care for students with chronic health issues and manage medications.
• Provide health education and refer to higher levels of care as needed.
• Support the education process by promoting healthy habits and overall student well-being.
