Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center’s School Nursing Program in Macon, GA is hiring a full-time school health assistant. You will provide direct student care under RN/LPN supervision, administer medications, and perform point-of-care tests in a school setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR, and preferred CNA/MA training with pediatric care experience. 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, with some variation by school.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• CPR certification current; preferred CNA/MA technical schooling.
• One year pediatric patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student care under RN/LPN direction per guidelines.
• Administer medications and perform school-based treatments.
• Document care in student records and utilize GRITS when needed.
• Maintain safe clinical environment and respond to emergencies.
