Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an on-site role near Wesley Chapel, FL. The position supports a pediatric student population in a school-based setting, delivering direct therapy and assessments for 16 hours per week.

Licensure includes a current Florida SLP license; CCC is welcomed and CFY candidates may be considered. Collaboration with educators, families, and teams is essential for student success.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida SLP license.
  • CCC welcomed; CFY considered.
  • Pediatric SLP experience preferred in school/healthcare context.
  • Strong evaluation, therapy, and progress-reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop IEPs with direct speech-language therapy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards.
  • Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support at home and in school.
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric SLP and participate in professional development.

Job description

Your expertise will make a significant difference as you manage a varied caseload, collaborating with educators, families, and fellow clinicians. The role is structured for 16 hours per week, providing professional flexibility and a balanced schedule.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
  • Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) welcomed; consideration will also be given for Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates
  • Pediatric SLP experience preferred, especially within a school or healthcare context
  • Strong evaluation, therapy, and progress-reporting skills
  • Effective communication abilities to work with students, families, and school teams
