Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a scheduling professional to coordinate daily scheduling of patient procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves extensive interaction with physicians, diagnostic staff, and patients via phone, fax, and email to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in medical terminology or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of experience in clinical scheduling or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments for medical procedures for designated department.
• Coordinates all aspects of procedure scheduling and communicates with doctors’ offices to resolve discrepancies.
• Collects and confirms patient demographic/insurance information and enters data into scheduling system.
• Assists in identifying ways to improve the scheduling process and completes quality assurance for all scheduled patients.
