Job summary

Lakeshore Pediatrics, part of PediaTrust LLC, seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support pediatric care in Barrington and Libertyville. In this role you will triage, administer direct patient care, and coordinate referrals under provider supervision.

Schedule is 24-28 hours per week with rotating Saturdays; sites offer varied weekday hours and potential evening shifts. Prior pediatric or EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Epic or other EMR systems preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and plan daily responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
• Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses need for appointments or provides home care guidance.
• Provides patient/parent education on diagnoses and treatment, as per provider orders.
• Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per protocol and provider orders.
• Assists in scheduling diagnostic procedures and referrals to specialists per provider orders.
• Coordinates the ordering and administration of medications for specific patient populations.
• Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider.
