Job summary

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide inpatient nursing support at the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. The role focuses on high-quality care for infants, children, and adolescents within a collaborative healthcare team.

The Pediatric RN will monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and support families throughout the care experience, with three 12-hour night shifts weekly and possible holiday/weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of pediatric acute-care hospital experience required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN/ASN/ADN, diploma).
• Successful completion of NCLEX-RN.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in at least one U.S. state/territory.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong pediatric assessment and clinical nursing skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with acute, chronic, and complex conditions.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
• Perform pediatric nursing interventions including IV therapy, wound care, and diagnostic support.
• Coordinate care with physicians and nurses; document in electronic health records.
• Educate families, promote safety, and follow infection control and NIH policies.
