Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking a registered nurse II in Jacksonville, FL to provide and coordinate pediatric nursing care in collaboration with families and community resources. This role emphasizes individualized, family-centered care, evidence-based practices, and advocacy for the child’s health and safety.

The RN II will utilize nursing processes, document care, and work with interdisciplinary teams to educate families, coordinate services, and support continuity of care across settings.

Qualifications

• BSN required or enrolled in BSN program with required completion within 12 months of hire date.
• Florida RN license or compact license including FL.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience preferred.
• BLS Certification.
• CPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care for pediatric patients.
• Apply nursing process considering growth and family dynamics in delivery of care.
• Deliver family-centered, evidence-based care and protect patient rights.
• Document all aspects of nursing care delivery.
• Advocate for the child and collaborate with social services and courts when needed.
• Contribute to Nursing Shared Governance and support professional practice development.
• Provide leadership, staff education, and support to division nurses.
