Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Non-Acute to deliver direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will support complex patients, coordinate care, and delegate tasks to other caregivers while ensuring quality outcomes.

Required: NJ State RN license and BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days; BSN in progress or plan to obtain within three years. National certification is preferred where eligible.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License; AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse Non-Acute functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, providing direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
