Job description

Overview

Randall Children's Hospital (RCH) Rheumatology at Legacy Emanuel is recruiting a full-time, BE/BC pediatric rheumatologist to join an established team of 2 pediatric rheumatologists. The emphasis for this position is on clinical care, although candidates with an interest in clinical research and education are encouraged to apply.

RCH is a regional leader providing exceptional family-centered care for children throughout Portland and the Pacific Northwest. RCH offers services along a comprehensive spectrum of pediatric subspecialty and ancillary care. Our division partners closely with our 2 board-certified pediatric nephrologists, soon to be 3, to ensure seamless multidisciplinary care for children with renal involvement. The divisions of rheumatology and nephrology share office space and support staff.

RCH is a state-of-the-art, 9-story freestanding Children’s Hospital affiliated with Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Our facility offers a 177-bed free-standing facility that includes a 24-bed PICU, 45-bed NICU, 25-bed Children’s Day Surgery Unit, 14-bed Children’s Day Treatment Unit for outpatient infusion, 22-room Children’s Emergency Department, and the region’s only inpatient rehabilitation facility. Legacy Health System consists of seven hospitals, dozens of primary care and specialty clinics, The Legacy Clinical Research Institute, and The Oregon Burn Center, a regional leader in burn care serving patients from Seattle to Sacramento. The RCH medical staff is comprised of more than 600 physicians, including pediatric medical and surgical specialists, sub-specialists, hospitalists, and community physicians.

Portland is an eclectic city offering diverse cultural and family-friendly activities that appeal to a wide variety of needs and tastes. Portland boasts excellent public and private schools, numerous beautiful parks, and more biking trails per mile than any other city in the US promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. The temperate four seasons, spectacular Columbia River Gorge, and the majestic Cascade Mountains, as well as close proximity to ocean beaches and breathtaking ski slopes make this an opportunity for both a dynamic position and a wonderful lifestyle.
