The Pediatric Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations include adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The Therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy with communication to physicians and the healthcare team.

Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). For neonatal/pediatric roles, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required.

Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist, with NC Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
At least 1 year of clinical pediatric respiratory therapy experience required.
