Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care Practitioner in the Pulmonary department. The role is day shift, part-time, with duties including PFTs, patient education, and management of respiratory treatments in outpatient settings.

Primary responsibilities include executing safe patient care, collaborating with the care team, and supporting performance improvement initiatives. The position requires an Associate's degree or 2 years of relevant experience, and LRCP/RRT licenses

Qualifications

• Assc. degree or 2 years relevant experience required.
• LRCP and RRT licensure required (Arkansas).
• NBRC certifications recommended (ACCS, AE-C, CPFT, NPS, RPFT, SDS).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective patient care addressing age-specific needs.
• Communicate care plans effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify and respond to emergent respiratory situations.
• Assist in diagnosis, treatment, and management of pulmonary disorders.
• Provide feedback and changes to improve patient care and environment.
• Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens; measure oxygen, CO2, and other gases.
• Maintain in-stock supplies and collaborate with vendors as needed.
• Participate in committees and initiatives related to hospital expansion and patient care.
