Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to provide family-centered, age-appropriate cardiopulmonary care. You will assess needs with the health care team, document findings, and support safe operation of life-support equipment while serving as a clinical resource to other departments.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapy license in state of practice.
• National Registration by National Board for Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary respiratory care to patients from admission through discharge.
• Serve as a resource and provide education to students, interns, residents, nurses, and new employees as needed.
• Ensure safe, cost-effective operation of equipment and apply infection control techniques.
• Participate in hospital/department committees and special projects.

Education

Certified/Associate Respiratory Therapist License (state of practice)

National Registration by National Board for Respiratory Therapy

BLS and PALS certifications
