Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital seeks a part-time Respiratory Therapist for Day Shift in the Respiratory Department in Springdale, AR. You will assist in diagnosing, treating, and managing pulmonary disorders, collect specimens, measure lung capacity, and administer prescribed therapies to patients. • Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
• Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases.
• Measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine impairment.
• Administers treatment prescribed by a physician for care of patients with breathing abnormalities.
• Assumes primary responsibility for respiratory care treatments.
• Participates in performance improvement and research activities relevant to respiratory care.
