Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock is seeking a Respiratory Care Specialist to join the team on a full-time day shift from 7a to 7p. You will assist in diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric pulmonary disorders and administer prescribed therapies.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree or equivalent, LRCP and RRT licensure; NBRC certifications; strong teamwork and communication, and a commitment to safe, excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• LRCP licensure by Arkansas State Medical Board required.
• RRT credential by NBRC required.
• NBRC certifications (ACCS, AE-C, CPFT, NPS, RPFT, SDS) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and effective respiratory care addressing age-related patient needs.
• Communicates care plans with the care team.
• Recognizes emergencies and intervenes appropriately.
• Assists in diagnosis, treatment, and management of pulmonary disorders.
• Provides feedback and reports to improve patient care and work environment.
• Collects and analyzes respiratory samples and measures lung function.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• May manage stock and coordinate with vendors for supplies.
• Participates in committees and hospital expansion planning to support RCS needs.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education

Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience

Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) - Arkansas State Medical Board

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC

NBRC certifications (ACCS, AE-C, CPFT, NPS, RPFT, SDS)
