Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• AARC membership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per standards, guidelines, and policies.
• Explains care modalities to patients, families, and health care team in an understandable manner.
• Interprets and communicates patient data to the health care team with thorough clinical status reports.
• Assesses clinical status, evaluates progress, and recommends courses of action.
• Analyzes situations and applies judgment for problem resolution; documents issues as needed.
• Pursues ongoing learning and participates in departmental education and meetings to stay current.

Respiratory Therapist Program

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license

BLS certification (AHA)

PALS certification within 6 months

AARC membership (Preferred)
