Job summary

MemorialCare's Miller Children’s Hospital at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is hiring a Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner III for the Transport Team. This full-time night-shift role focuses on expert respiratory care in emergent and non-emergent situations.

External hires may receive a $2,500 signing bonus contingent on employment requirements. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, teaching, infection control, and interdisciplinary collaboration across our MemorialCare system.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of acute care experience in Critical Care required.
• Graduate of an AMA accredited School for Respiratory Care or equivalent.
• CA RCP license and BCLS certification required; pediatric specialties noted.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert patient care in emergent and non-emergent situations per policies.
• Deliver diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and document in medical records.
• Educate patients/families and participate in infection control practices.
• Precept and mentor staff; act as team lead when needed.
• Identify trends in practice and contribute to quality improvement.
