Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine seeks a Research Project Coordinator II to administratively coordinate the protocol implementation of complex studies on the Pediatric Infectious Disease team. The role ensures efficient logistics and provides administrative support for study activities.

Responsibilities span coordinating multiple studies, developing operational plans with the PI, data collection tooling, data entry, budget oversight, and coordinating study meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• One year of related experience.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities of a complex research study or multiple studies to ensure validity of findings.
• Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staff to develop operational plans to meet research goals.
• Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
• Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g. participant interviews, administer questionnaires; conduct background research, laboratory processing, etc.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
• Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data.
• Oversee record management for research study.
• Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.
• Assist in coordinating study meetings.
• Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocol implementation status and make recommendations on operational issues.
• Conduct literature searches to provide background information.
• Other duties as assigned.
