Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to support pediatric research initiatives. You will develop and facilitate study protocols, coordinate visits, obtain informed consent, and ensure accurate data management in alignment with regulatory requirements.

The role requires at least two years of pediatric clinical experience, nursing licensure in GA, and competencies in data entry, patient assessment, and collaboration with investigators and staff.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of pediatric clinical experience OR two or more years of clinical related experience.
• RN licensure in Georgia or multi-state via compact.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical research processes and regulatory requirements like IRB, IATA, and CITI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, conducts, and facilitates research protocols.
• Performs participant screening, enrollment, study activities, and communication.
• Coordinates study visits and procedures, including specimen handling and shipment.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for research studies.
• Obtains informed consent following policy and regulatory requirements.
• Schedules study visits in coordination with ancillary departments.
• Provides direct nursing care per hospital standards during research.
• Completes nursing documentation and order entry in the medical record.
• Maintains regulatory documents and participates in sponsor communications and study meetings.
• Supports data entry and ensures data integrity; assists biostatistical needs.
• Supports study budgeting and sponsor interactions; completes research admin duties.
