Qualifications

• Master's Degree in nursing or related field required.
• Current RN license in Arkansas or compact state.
• Advanced Practice RN (APRN-CNP or similar) credentials preferred.
• Active APRN license with pediatrics focus is advantageous.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative practice.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and staff.
• Knowledge of billing and coding related to pediatric care.
• Commitment to safety, quality improvement and patient advocacy.
• Experience in pediatrics or pediatric specialty care preferred.
• Proof of continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information for new and established patients including history and tests.
• Assesses patient and family needs across physical, psychosocial, and educational domains.
• Interprets health data and directs patient care accordingly.
• Provides ongoing care, medications, and education for patients and families.
• Documents plans of care and outcomes per policy and regulations.
• Completes billing and coding for services per policy and law.
• Communicates with physicians, health providers, and hospital staff.
• Participates in quality improvement and care delivery cost strategies.
• Disseminates research findings through practice and education.
• Engages in professional nursing organizations to maintain expertise.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
