Job description

Performs specific treatments and groups to the young adult through geriatric population as delegated by the primary physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, or their assistants. Functions only under supervision and acts as a resource for new Rehabilitation Technicians.

Essential Functions

1. Provides direct patient care under supervision and delegation of licensed therapists.
2. Maintains thorough medical records according to departmental standards.
3. Assists registered therapists with patient care following prescribed delegations.
4. Participates in staff meetings as indicated.
5. Provides patient care requiring physical effort.
6. Performs supportive duties such as cleaning equipment, checking in patients, scheduling, and assisting with transport.
7. Represents the department at hospital and community programs.
8. Exhibits courtesy, compassion, and respect to all stakeholders.
9. Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
10. Ensures service and operational excellence in department activities.
11. Upholds PCC Organizational Values: Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
12. Understands developmental needs of pediatric patients.
13. Reviews current literature to update educational components.
