Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee a 13-bed pediatric inpatient rehabilitation unit (LCH 4P). You will support daily operations, ensure high-quality care, and lead a multidisciplinary team across nursing and clinical services.

The role focuses on patient outcomes, staff development, and regulatory compliance within a busy academic pediatric setting in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• BLS certification required.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager to enhance nursing practice and department operations.
• Assist with interviewing and supervising nursing personnel.
• Coordinate communication during shifts via staff meetings/huddles.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and policies.
• Round on patients, staff, and physicians as scheduled.
• Delegate care elements to appropriate health care workers.
• Identify outcomes to guide continuity of care and department operations.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and share updates with the team.
• Provide nursing care, therapies, and medication administration as needed.
• Coordinate patient flow and staffing based on volume and acuity.
