Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care during three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The role includes implementing and monitoring care plans, communicating patient conditions, and coordinating discharge needs.

Ideal candidates will have a nursing degree (Diploma/ADN/BSN) with active RN licensure, BLS, and within a year, PALS. Acute care experience or military RN background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Within one year, obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• One year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate materials.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
