Job summary

BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is seeking compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurses to join our home health team. Provide one-on-one pediatric nursing care at patients' homes, supporting children's health, comfort, and safety while delivering care that aligns with our Higher Standard.

Flexible scheduling, per diem and part-time opportunities, and 24/7 on-call clinical support help you balance work and family. Must have CA RN license and pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered CA RN license.
• Minimum 1 year pediatric RN experience.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work independently in the home.
• Strong communication with families and care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized pediatric nursing care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Assess and monitor child’s condition and report changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments within RN scope.
• Educate and support parents/caregivers on care and safety.
• Coordinate with Nursing Director and healthcare providers; maintain thorough documentation.

Service Area: Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Marina, Hollister, Seaside, Salinas, Soledad, and King City, CA

BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses with pediatric experience to join our clinical team. Use your nursing skills to support children's health, comfort, and safety while helping families feel confident in their child's care-all while upholding A Higher Standard of Care.

RN Responsibilities

• Provide individualized pediatric nursing care according to physician orders and the established plan of care
• Assess and monitor the child's condition, recognizing and promptly reporting changes
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures within your training, competency, and RN scope of practice
• Educate and support parents and caregivers on the child's care needs, treatments, and safety
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing, healthcare providers, and family to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation
• Follow agency policies, infection prevention practices, and clinical protocols

RN Requirements

• Active, unencumbered California Registered Nurse license
• Minimum one year of documented RN experience
• Pediatric nursing experience
• Current CPR certification
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care and work independently in the home

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric home health or private duty nursing experience
• Experience caring for children with complex medical needs
• Experience with feeding tubes, medication administration, or other pediatric skilled nursing procedures
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
