We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our young patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their stay. This role requires a strong understanding of pediatric nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients to identify their medical needs and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, IV infusions, and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
Provide pain management strategies and support for children undergoing various medical procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, including discharge planning and follow-up care.
Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
Maintain accurate medical records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
Participate in urgent care situations as needed, ensuring timely intervention for pediatric emergencies.
Assist in medical imaging procedures when required and support memory care initiatives for children with special needs.
Experience

A valid Registered Nurse license with a focus on Pediatrics is required.
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is highly desirable.
Previous work in assisted living or urgent care settings will be considered an asset.
Familiarity with pain management techniques and discharge planning processes is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children and their families.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
