Job summary

Inova Health in Fairfax, VA seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide safe and therapeutic nutrition care in pediatric specialties, including hematology/oncology and pulmonology. This role supports physicians, nurses and the care team with optimal nutrition.

Full-time or part-time hours are day shifts (7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Mon–Fri). Education and certifications required, with generous benefits and opportunities for professional development at Inova Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024.
• RD certification within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nutrition assessments and interprets data.
• Develops individualized nutrition care plans with the care team.
• Monitors patient response to nutrition therapy and adjusts plans.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses and other providers to integrate nutrition care.
• Educates patients, families and staff to optimize nutrition outcomes.
• Stays current with research and contributes to patient education materials.
