Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures to produce images of internal body organs and bones.
• Explains procedures to patient, obtains and records medical history, selects equipment settings, and positions the patient for optimal imaging.
• Views images to determine quality and forwards for review; maintains applicable patient documentation.
• Maintains adequate supplies and a clean work area; reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety; provides physical and psychological comfort to patient.
• Ensures compliance with workplace safety, environmental, exposure control, and infection control practices.
• Duties may be added or changed by management.
