Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) to perform diagnostic radiographs in a pediatric urgent care setting under physician supervision. You will support clinical operations, collect patient histories, and ensure safety and quality in imaging.

The role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient comfort, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program
• Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, clinic's processes
• Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment and act calmly in emergencies
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally
• Knowledge of digital imaging
• Knowledge of electronic health records (eCW preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift
• Document repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read
• Assist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment
• Immediately report any equipment malfunctions to management team
• Helps patients in distress by promptly notifying medical staff of emergencies
• Provide patient with crutches and proper use education
• Be an integral part of the patient care team
• Keep exam and x-ray room stocked with adequate supplies
