Pediatric Pulmonologist

Weill Cornell Medicine, Queens

Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group/Queens is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Pulmonologist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens. This position is based in the heart of Flushing, Queens, conveniently located a half hour away from Manhattan.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, a 535-bed tertiary facility, provides care for residents throughout Queens and beyond and is situated in a culturally and ethnically diverse area. An academic affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College and the Komansky Children’s Hospital/NYP, NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens has a full complement of ACGME training programs and is integrated into the residency program in pediatrics at the Komansky Children’s Hospital. In addition, the hospital is a site for rotations for medical students from Weill Cornell Medical College. NYPQ delivers over 4,000 newborns per year. Medical and surgical sub-specialty consults are provided by faculty from the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell, with several specialists primarily at NYPQ (Pulmonary, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Neurology) while others are available from the Komansky Children’s Hospital in Manhattan.

Queens, home to Flushing Meadows Park, hosts both the New York Mets baseball team and the US Open Tennis Tournament. As one of the most ethnically diverse urban areas in the world, Queens can satisfy nearly every taste. Foodies covet the Greek cuisine of Astoria and the authentic Asian food in Flushing; others admire the inventive art at Socrates Sculpture Park and the stunning flora at the Queens Botanical Garden. In the borough’s southern extremes, the surf is always up at Rockaway Beach.

The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank at Weill Cornell Medical College will be commensurate with experience and credentials.

The salary range for this position is $217k to $300k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
