Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in homes, schools, and daycares across Texas. You’ll support pediatric patients under a licensed PT, focusing on mobility, independence, and family education to empower children to reach their potential.

Flexible FT/PT/PRN schedules, bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, Texas PTA license or eligibility required, and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Texas PTA license or eligibility by start date.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
• Educate families and caregivers on exercises, positioning and home programs.
• Collaborate with the care team and document progress accurately.

As a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you'll provide personalized, one-on-one care in the environments where children thrive. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
• One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Pay

$35.00-$40.00 per hour
