Job summary

Texas Children's Specialty Care seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to plan, evaluate, and implement developmentally appropriate PT programs for patients from birth through adulthood in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role includes patient evaluations, care planning, clinical leadership, and collaboration with staff. Two years of clinical experience or one residency is preferred; Texas PT licensure and BLS are required or preferred, with respiratory fit testing per safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• PT certification from the State of Texas is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with hospital and department guidelines.
• Develops an individualized plan of care based upon evaluation/reassessment findings.
• Provides clinical support to assigned outpatient clinic or specialty program.
• Mentors less experienced staff in area of specialty as determined by evaluations.
• Documents patient information in the EMR with minimal errors per year.
• Acts as a clinical instructor for at least 1 professional student per year.
• Informs manager of unsafe situations and anticipated problems.
• Participates in the development and gathering of Quality Improvement information.

Degree in Physical Therapy

PT certification from the state of Texas

BLS certification from the American Heart Association
